The Colorado Brain Injury Collaborative is dedicated to improving the lives of the approximate 100,000 individuals living with brain injury in Colorado.

Our Policy Priorities are:

  • Prevention of brain injuries
  • Improvements to the HCBS Brain Injury Medicaid Waiver
  • Appropriate coverage of catastrophic injuries including rehabilitation by insurance carriers
  • Supporting the work of the Brain Injury Trust Fund to increase services for people with brain injury and their families

Health Care Reform

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (H.R. 3590). One week later, he signed the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (H.R. 4972). Together, these laws represent the most sweeping health care reforms in U.S. history.
